Nina3Janine Jordaan was appointed as the Marlborough Netball Centre Manager in May 2015.  She really loves her netball.  Played netball since she was 7 years old and is still actively involved with netball as a Premier Team Coach, an Umpire and Emerging Talent Selector.   She has a Diploma in Human Resource Management, various leadership and Early Childhood development certificates. Janine just really loves and enjoys working with people of all ages.  She can relate to athletes striving to be the best and setting goals for their future, that is why she is really passionate about working with our younger generation.  With all the resources available teaching the younger players the importance of commitment and goal setting, that will not just help them in their sporting careers but also help them develop important life skills, like teamwork, building character and confidence. Riana Burger was appointed in February 2017.   She highly organized and self-driven lady with a passion for netball – live, eat and sleep daily.  She started playing from a young age and is still playing at Premier level for Pelorus Club.  She is also coaching the MGC Senior B team.
Riana has a Degree, Bac Tech-Officiating and Coaching of Sport Science, she has a certificate for Sports Massaging and strapping too.  She has 7 years experience in working in this field, as being Co-owner of Demore Netball, till she moved to Blenheim in 2016.  Her goal as a netall coach is to enhance maximal performance of individuals (as well as teams) and help them realize their full potential.  Like other great coaches the best fitness professionals know that the study of movement and nutrition can convey useful lessions of life from increasing confidence and self-esteem to improve discipline and focus. She will coach players to exercise properly and to achieve their goals.  Netball is her passion and she will keep playing and developing as long as her body allows it.   She is looking forward to the new challenges ahead.  If you would like Riana to come to your school or club sessions please give her a call on (03) 972 0995 or mobile:  0273264520.
